PERFORMANCE NOTES:
MORPH is for confident ensembles who play well as a group and are able to support each other in performance. The energy and vibrant pace of Morph makes it sound more complex than it is to master. There is extensive use of triplets in most parts which drive the music forward. Morph is a challenging work but well worth the effort. A great concert piece.
TEACHING NOTE:
Morph is marked as 77bpm however the audio sample was recorded closer to 90bpm. It is well worth experimenting with various tempos because this work sounds equally impressive at a slower pace - find the point at which your ensemble is comfortable and work from there.
